Charlotte - 8 1/2 weeks old

She loves her mobile! Too bad it only has 4 songs - they get stuck in our heads and we end up humming the tunes all day.

Lottie's face in her carseat is why we call her Squishy. I love that face!

Charlotte Josephine joins the world and comes home!

It was a rough few days to get there, but totally worth it to have our precious little girl! She was born in the very early morning of Saturday, March 19th and we brought her home on Monday, March 21st. Both sets of grandparents were there to welcome her home.

Week 40 - Still waiting

Even though the 40th week is not yet complete, I'm on a roll with updating the posts so I'm going to go ahead and put up some photos from the week so far. The weather has been great so we've been trying to have lots of walks. On Wednesday, Paul and I took the dogs out to the beach and I got my favorite Reef flipflops stollen there!!

On Thursday morning we were heading into downtown for a walk after breakfast out and saw a rather ironic sign at a local church, so we just had to get a photo. I'll update more once the week is over and we know if there'll be a baby or not!

Week 39 - resting and recuping

Hanging out at home this week, trying to rest and recuperate from the accident. Paul has been busy dealing with all of the insurance stuff and trying to find us a new car. We ended up getting another Pilot, a 2003, on Saturday. Paul's parents got into town late Sunday night, hoping to be here for when the baby arrives.

There was much anticipation around the due date, but even though I kept walking and ate a big steak dinner the night before she did not make an appearance. We had another appointment on Tuesday (the due date) and found out that I was not at all really dilated but was about 75% effaced. We spent the day after the appointment shopping at the towncenter and then headed back to town and went to the Palace and Pablo's to celebrate a friend and one of Paul's co-worker's becoming radar certified at work.

Hoping she'll arrive soon, although I suppose the more time she gives me is more time for my wrist to heal so I can actually pick her up and care for her when she does arrive.

Photos are from March 8th - her due date, and the day before.
